The Opportunity

Due to growth we have an opportunity for a Senior Capital Transactions Analyst to join our Group Investments team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of transactions across multiple asset classes within Stockland's diversified portfolio.

As part of the Group Investments team you will gain exposure across Stockland's business units and build a long-term career with broad and exciting growth pathways.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in our Sydney CBD head office on Castlereagh Street.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify new opportunities aligned to Stockland's strategy
  • Analyse and make recommendations on short-listed opportunities
  • Prepare underwrite packs, investment models and development feasibilities
  • Prepare fund models
  • Support buy and sell side processes
  • Identify risks and mitigation strategies
  • Assist with contractual documentation and negotiation
  • Coordinate internal approvals
  • Coordinate and project manage internal transaction workstreams
  • Engage with external stakeholders including agents, consultants and advisors
  • Maintain transaction databases
  • Contribute to strategic projects
  • Represent Stockland in the market
  • Build team capability and evaluate compliance, risk, and HS&E implications
About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be a proactive self-starter and high-performing property professional with a strong understanding of investment proposals and due diligence. Excellent report writing, financial modelling skills, and stakeholder engagement capabilities are essential. Your ability to work collaboratively and support multiple leaders and projects across a networked organization will be key.

In addition, you will have the following qualifications, experience and skills:

  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Property, Finance, or similar.
  • Experience: 2+ years as an analyst in the industry, ideally supporting transactions or advisory.
  • Skills:
  • Strong investment modelling and development feasibility skills
  • Understanding of operational and financial parameters in established and development assets
  • Solid understanding of the market, market metrics and trends across asset classes
  • Proven track record of achieving results through influencing and relationship skills
  • Customer focus – anticipating and understanding the needs of both internal and external customers
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
