The Role

A State Government agency is seeking a Procurement Officer to support a wide range of procurement activities. This contract runs until October 2025, with strong potential to extend, based in East Melbourne. You'll manage end-to-end procurement processes, including market engagements and tender documentation, supporting operational and strategic procurement across the organisation.

A State Government agency is seeking a Procurement Officer to support a wide range of procurement activities. This contract runs until October 2025, with strong potential to extend, based in East Melbourne. You'll manage end-to-end procurement processes, including market engagements and tender documentation, supporting operational and strategic procurement across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and manage end-to-end procurement activities across IT and non-IT categories
  • Draft and coordinate RFQs, RFTs and contracts in line with VGPB and procurement frameworks
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support effective market engagement
  • Support reporting, contract management and continuous improvement initiatives

About You
  • Demonstrated experience in government procurement and tender processes
  • Strong understanding of VGPB guidelines and procurement frameworks
  • Experience across both ICT and non-ICT procurement categories
  • Immediate availability and ability to hit the ground running
