Procurement Business Partner IT / Security

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Business Partner to drive the development and implementation of strategic procurement initiatives, with a strong focus on IT and security.

About the role:

  1. Manage the end-to-end procurement process including drafting of tendering documents and contract documentation.
  2. Provide advice on procurement strategies to ensure that all Procurements comply with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and the PGPA act.
  3. Negotiate and support the business to deliver 'value for money' procurements and ensure the agency makes sound commercial decisions.
  4. Identify and manage potential procurement and contract delivery issues or risks.
  5. Develop and maintain up to date contract documentation (e.g. contract variations), procedures, data and records and ensure timely communication of relevant information.
  6. Contract management of high value or strategic contracts.
  7. Maintain a focus on creating collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximise potential opportunities that support efficiencies and savings.

About You:

  1. As a minimum 7 years' experience in end-to-end procurements with a strong focus on IT / Security procurements.
  2. Preferable Contract Management experience.
  3. Highly developed self-management, time management and prioritising skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  4. Experience with computer assisted procurement systems and processes.
  5. Demonstrated investigative and analytical skills including the ability to use MS Excel, Database and Reporting systems.
  6. Excellent communication skills at all levels (written and verbal) and the ability to undertake negotiations with suppliers and staff at all levels in the resolution of disputes.
  7. Well-developed customer service, excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills for liaising with stakeholders and suppliers.
  8. Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  9. Initiate and develop innovative ideas and new technology to improve procurement processes.
