Job Description

We are seeking individuals with a professional background in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling interested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector in Wollongong, NSW.

Responsibilities

• Case management with manageable caseloads and support from Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks
• Apply clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes
• Work with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs
• Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
• Work across schemes such as workers' compensation, CTP, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded programs
• Help clients achieve return to health and return to work outcomes
• Complete assessments including initial, workplace and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment and identify suitable employment opportunities

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences or Rehabilitation Counselling
• General or Provisional registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with ASORC
• Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills
• Compassion, kindness and empathy
• Strong time management skills
• A current NSW Driver's Licence and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is required
