Overview

The Health Manager leads the HNE Gender Service, one of two specialist hubs in NSW providing care for transgender and gender diverse young people up to 25 years of age. Based at Maple Leaf House, the service includes psychology, psychiatry, nursing, allied health and medical staff, supported by administration. The role focuses on operational leadership, service development, change management, and fostering a culture of clinical excellence and continuous improvement. This is a leadership role with a meaningful impact on trans and gender diverse young people and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strong operational leadership for the HNE Gender Service, driving service development and change management.
  • Foster a culture of clinical excellence and continuous improvement across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Lead complex health service delivery, ensuring patient-centered, evidence-based care for transgender and gender diverse young people and their families.
  • collaborate with psychology, psychiatry, nursing, allied health and administration to optimise service design and delivery.
About You / Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in leading complex health services and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven change management expertise with ability to embed sustainable improvements and evolving models of care.
  • Strong project development, implementation and management skills; able to prioritise, meet deadlines, and work independently or collaboratively.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to analyse complex situations and implement person-centred solutions.
  • A genuine passion for working with transgender children, adolescents and young adults, ensuring their voices shape service delivery.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to build partnerships across health, community, and NGO sectors.

Salary, Benefits and Conditions

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time

Position Classification: Health Manager Level 3

Remuneration: $127,150.00 - $144,444.00 + 12% Super + Salary packaging

Hours Per Week: 38

Location: Maple Leaf House, NSW
