About The Area

Advancement Services Specialist (Prospect Research & Information) sits in the Advancement and Communications Division at UOW. In the Advancement Unit, we are on a mission to find solutions that transform more lives and generate more critical research to solve global challenges. We are pursuing our mission by building long-term donor relationships and partnerships, being accountable stewards of donor funds, and asking more of our community to consider supporting UOW.

About The Position

The Advancement Services Specialist (Prospect Research & Information) is responsible for utilising advancement information systems to identify individuals and cohorts for deeper engagement and connection with the university. This includes conducting research, providing reports, and recommendations that support the University\'s strategic engagement with alumni, donors, community members, and key stakeholders. This role ensures information on constituents is accurate and up-to-date, provides sophisticated background research on notable individuals, organisations and groups, and identifies prospects for strategic activities, programs and awards. Utilising Advancement databases and systems, including Blackbaud RE7 and NXT, the position works as part of a team to manage data, information, conduct prospect research and produce reports.

Responsibilities
  • Utilise advancement information systems to identify individuals and cohorts for engagement.
  • Conduct research and provide reports and recommendations to support strategic engagement.
  • Ensure constituent information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide background research on notable individuals, organisations and groups.
  • Identify prospects for strategic activities, programs and awards.
  • Utilise Advancement databases and systems (e.g., Blackbaud RE7 and NXT) as part of a team to manage data and produce reports.
