Classroom Support (Multiple Positions) - St Finbarr's School, Ashgrove. Brisbane Catholic Education is seeking multiple Classroom Support staff to join St Finbarr's School, Ashgrove. This role supports teachers in delivering effective learning and teaching programs and provides assistance to students with diverse learning needs.

About Our School

St Finbarr's School, Ashgrove is a place of exceptional teaching and inspired learning with over 150 students. The school offers co-curricular subjects such as STEM, The Arts, Japanese and HPE, and an extensive extracurricular program. We actively look for ways to stretch and challenge our students.

Support teachers in delivering strategies that enhance student learning and success in every subject. Work in a small school environment with students who love to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for students, including use of technology and learning support activities
• Monitoring the progress of students and identifying learning areas to provide evidence-based intervention strategies
• Improving student learning outcomes by providing support and advice for students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborating with school specialists to organise and assist with intervention groups and coordinate services
• Documenting observation notes, intervention programs and assisting in the preparation of classroom materials

About You

• Minimum 3 years experience in a Classroom Support role
• Passionate about your work and motivated to make a difference in a small school
• Strong skills in planning, preparing, and delivering effective teaching programs
• Ability to monitor student progress and apply evidence-based interventions
• Experience supporting diverse learning needs to improve outcomes
• Collaborative skills to work with specialists and coordinate intervention groups
• Proficient in documenting observations, managing intervention programs, and preparing classroom materials
• Certificate III in Education Support
• Not required to be Catholic

Eligibility and Safeguarding

• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
• Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement

• Start date: 23/01/2026
• Work hours: 25 hours per week | 5 hours per day
• Salary: $34.17 per hour + super (School Salary Scale)
