Overview

As our new Digital Innovation Manager, you will lead the development and execution of the Business Technology Strategic Plan, driving digital innovation and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will oversee GenAI projects, shape business and technology strategies, enhance data analytics, and lead IT innovation. The role also involves evaluating emerging technologies, trialling their viability, and guiding solution design and delivery under the procurement framework to ensure alignment with business goals. Overall, you will lead the development and implementation of V/Line's digital innovation strategy, fostering cross-functional collaboration to drive transformative outcomes across the organisation.

About You

Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Strong understanding of digital technologies (Cloud Computing, GenAI, Data Warehousing and Analytics) and their application to a business context.
• Experience leading the development and implementation of an enterprise-wide digital innovation strategy with cross-functional collaboration.
• Proven experience managing digital transformation projects and implementing innovative digital solutions.
• Understanding of how digital solutions can impact overall business strategy and goals.
• Familiarity with digital tools, software, and emerging technologies.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills to manage digital projects and coordinate teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Responsibilities

The role is responsible for:

• Leading the development and execution of the Business Technology Strategic Plan.
• Overseeing GenAI projects and guiding solution design and delivery under the procurement framework.
• Shaping business and technology strategies and enhancing data analytics capabilities.
• Evaluating emerging technologies, testing their viability, and driving IT innovation.
