Community Bridging Services (CBS) Inc. is looking for expressions of interest from people looking to make a difference to the lives of people living with mental illness, disability and/or medical conditions, by assisting them into open employment as part of our Disability Employment Services (DES).

Employment Officer
- Using a strengths-based & person-centred approach to support clients into meaningful and sustainable employment based on their skills and interests
- Supporting clients to maintain their employment through post-placement and ongoing support
- Assisting with the planning and development of the Programs based on client interests, abilities and pre-determined goals within a group or on an individual basis.
- Collecting and submitting documentary evidence related to clients' employment
- Accompany persons with a disability and/or disadvantage on work experiences or trials, as well as paid employment, to guide and support them to obtain a successful employment outcome where required.
- Implementing programs, participating in activities, and supporting participants to achieve pre-determined goals established by the Senior Employment Officers and/or Jobnet Coordinator in conjunction client's families/carers and other CBS Inc. team members.
IPS Employment Specialist – Mental Health
- Helping to source education and training that could help clients to achieve meaningful employment
- Carry out all phases of employment services including- intake, engagement, assessment, job placement, coaching and post placement follow-along support
- Support with job development activities including, compiling resumes and cover letters, completing job applications interview preparation
- Work with a multidisciplinary team that includes employment and mental health staff
- Delivering services in line with the 8 IPS core practice principles
Employment Assistant/ SIE Support Worker
- Provide one-on-one support to clients within their workplace with a view to building their independence
- Assist clients to understand their employment related duties and improve efficiencies
- Communicate effectively to advocate for CBS Inc. and your clients in their workplace
- Build positive relationships with client's employer, team members and stakeholders
- Use initiative and problem-solving skills to assist clients to maintain their employment
- Administration and basic computer skills to accurately record case notes
- Collaborate with and support client's case managers
- Occasional office supports
- Meet required Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Position Requirements:
- Current Australian Driver's Licence - P2 minimum (essential)
- Relevant NDIS / DHS checks and clearances in accordance with the role requirements (or willingness to obtain)
- Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
