With over 55 years' experience in the building industry, Prime Group is a well-established company that offers personal solutions in residential home building. We are currently looking for a Building Scheduler and Estimator for immediate start. Our team is energetic, goal-oriented, and maintains high morale. We build properties both north and south of the river, working closely with various external departments and businesses, which brings variety to each day. Our company continues to grow, and we invite you to join our dynamic team environment and work in our new state-of-the-art offices.

About the Role

  1. Oversee the production of accurate and timely estimates.
  2. Ensure accurate take-offs of material quantities from plans.
  3. Negotiate pricing and obtain quotes from suppliers.
  4. Issue orders to suppliers.
  5. Assist with daily queries and orders to Site Supervisors.
  6. Help prepare and maintain base models, take-offs, and the price book.
  7. Perform other tasks as required.

What you will bring to the role

The successful applicant will possess excellent math skills, be an active learner, and have a positive attitude towards the role.

You must:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the building industry.
  • Have a sound understanding of general mathematics.
  • Have strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Act professionally with a high work ethic.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Be proactive and confident in decision-making.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Have intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite.
