The Role

As Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, you will provide clinical leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight of maternity and gynaecology services.

You will lead a committed team in delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care, while fostering a positive culture of education, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care across general obstetrics and gynaecology
  • Lead departmental planning, quality, and safety initiatives
  • Oversee clinical governance, workforce development, and risk management
  • Supervise and mentor registrars, junior doctors, and medical students
  • Drive teaching, training, and research in collaboration with regional academic partners

About You
  • Fellowship of RANZCOG
  • Eligible for specialist registration with AHPRA
  • Proven leadership in a clinical or academic O&G setting
  • Strong commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration and service excellence
  • Passion for mentoring and supporting the next generation of clinicians
