Overview

Lead advanced physiotherapy in RACE, mentor teams, drive innovation, and deliver quality care across inpatient and community settings.

What you'll be doing

• Lead, mentor & supervise junior physiotherapists & students

• Drive service improvement & quality initiatives across teams

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic care

• Apply advanced skills to manage complex clinical cases

This is a temporary full time physiotherapy level 3 position primarily working in the community and assist cover the acute clinical areas of Geriatric Medicine. The work days are Monday to Friday, 8am - 4.30pm. At Westmead, we have great teamwork and foster positive work culture by providing a supportive learning environment.

Essential Criteria

• Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy

• Registration: Current General Physiotherapy Registration under AHPRA.

Selection Criteria

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy, and current National Physiotherapy Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

• Postgraduate experience in aged care and ability to complete a comprehensive geriatric physiotherapy assessment and intervention for patients recovering from an acute illness or injury.

• Ability to analyze complex issues, solve problems, develop new approaches, and implement change programs with outcomes monitoring.

• Highly developed interpersonal, communication, coaching and facilitation skills with the ability to work independently.

• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

• Knowledge of evidence-based practice and commitment to ongoing professional development.

• Experience in clinical supervision of physiotherapists, allied health assistants and physiotherapy students.

• Current Driver's Licence valid within Australia.
