Are you an experienced Accounts Officer looking to take the next step in your career? We are looking for someone with 5+ years' experience as an Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant to join this fast growing business in a newly created role.

You will be accountable for:

  • Performing daily bank reconciliations, including matching of customer deposits and supplier payments in Xero
  • Raising quotes, invoices and pro-actively managing accounts receivable, including debt collection. Discussed and reported weekly
  • Raising/entering purchase orders and invoices into Xero and managing supplier accounts/accounts payable
  • Processing bank payments, including payments to suppliers and licensors
  • Perform monthly credit card reconciliation
  • Performing month-end reconciliations of all general ledger accounts, including processing accruals and journal entries
  • Performing reconciliations between Xero and the rights/royalty management software
  • Consulting with the Financial Controller regarding proposed payments and authorisation of payments
  • Attending to customer and supplier queries, including licensors where required
  • Attending to general office management and admin tasks as directed
  • Assisting the Financial Controller with ad-hoc tasks as required
  • Reporting: Deliver the outcomes of the general finance function for the company, including accurate and timely general ledger reconciliations and processing and reporting on AP/AR, POs, cash position, debts, Minimum Guarantee payments, credit card reconciliations, and other relevant matters that provide critical support to the company\'s day-to-day operations.
  • Rights and Royalty payment processing.
About you
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting
  • Demonstrated, hands on experience using Xero or a similar accounting package to conduct the above activities.
  • High level of competence with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel (Pivot tables and Lookups)
  • 5+ years' experience as an Accounts Officer or similar
  • Experience in month-end processes, including performing balance sheet reconciliations and month-end reporting
