Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to community safety by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connect individuals to programs, services, and community support. CCS manages individuals on court orders, those who have committed serious sex offences on post-sentence supervision, and prisoners on parole.
About the role:
Case Managers in the Court Practice stream are responsible for applying evidence-based case management practices to individuals at medium or high risk of reoffending. This role involves engaging individuals actively and providing targeted interventions to reduce their risk of reoffending.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify and evaluate factors related to individual offending behavior
- Motivate and influence individuals during the case management process
- Produce detailed reports and standard documents according to procedural guidelines
- Monitor individuals' compliance with order requirements
About you:
- Demonstrates assertiveness and confidence in dealing with individuals exhibiting challenging behaviors
- Builds positive working relationships and enjoys working in a small, close-knit team
- Has an understanding of case management practices related to complex individuals
- Models pro-social behaviors and motivates others
- Pays attention to words, expressions, and body language; Recognizes behaviors that promote a culture of inclusion
