Develop your hospitality skills and embrace a unique environment in a Kitchen Hand position, integral to providing support to the catering team at RAAF Williamtown (Newcastle). Join the team and receive full training and support while working with a dynamic environment.

The Position:
  • Part time position, minimum 30 hours per week – must be available nights and weekends.
  • Shifts between 10am – 7.30pm.
  • Reduced activity over the Christmas and New Year period.
  • Assist with basic preparation including vegetables and salads.
  • Stock control including quality reporting and temperature monitoring.
  • Maintain kitchen, food preparation, storage and service areas and equipment to a high standard with a strong awareness of hygiene and food safety standards.
The Person:
  • Hospitality experience beneficial.
  • Knife handling, food safety and preparation skills are a plus.
  • Highly organised and self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
  • Can-do attitude and drive to jump into any task required.
