Great opportunity to join Victoria's largest not-for-profit private health care group and take a Senior role within the Hospitality Department (Environmental Services) to ensure the delivery of patient service excellence in line with Epworth's core values that define our approach and outcomes.

Location: Waurn Ponds, Geelong. This is a full-time Evening Cleaning Supervisor position. You will lead Environmental Services Assistants (cleaners and patient transport orderlies) to deliver service excellence in a positive, safe work culture. You will report to the Hospitality Services Operations Manager and work closely with the Hospital Co-Ordinator.

Shift Timings: 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Opportunity for flexible working days.

Responsibilities
  • Providing team leadership, mentoring and promoting staff wellbeing
  • Delivering high standards in infection control and safe work procedures
  • Driving efficiencies
  • Monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures
To be successful in this role
  • Well-developed supervisory skills. Excellent communication and ability to lead, guide and support a team of cleaners.
  • Provide daily shift toolbox talks and leadership to cleaners and patient transport orderlies; maintain smooth, safe, and efficient operations including training, mentoring, and rapid problem solving. Set the tone for outstanding customer service and high-quality outcomes for patients and families.
  • Support the Head Chef and Hospital Services Operations Manager in all aspects of the Food Services operation, including monitoring policy and procedure, identifying equipment and service needs, compliance, promoting staff wellbeing and adhering to food safety standards.
You will have experience
  • Co-ordinating 10+ staff on shift
  • Greater than 2 years' experience in a substantial food services operation, preferably in hospital, aged care or hotel room service operations
  • Function co-ordination
Salary and Benefits
  • Annual salary range for full time: AUD $71,000 - $84,000 (includes Night time loading) + super + entitlements
