About the role:

The Cyber, Risk & Governance teams aim to protect Ampol Group's reputation and social license by enhancing cyber resilience. We support our business by managing cyber and IT risks effectively, adopting a proactive approach that enables business value rather than creating barriers. Through early detection and response to cyber events, we mitigate risks and deliver value amidst evolving technologies and opportunities. We also build trust with our customers through secure solutions.

The Cyber Business Analyst acts as the intermediary between end-users and the Cyber Uplift Portfolio project team to ensure the delivered cyber solutions meet business requirements.

This involves working with business and TDD stakeholders, gathering and analyzing business objectives, preparing high-level process workflows, identifying and recommending solutions, assessing business impacts, conducting pilots, and collaborating with the project team for end-to-end delivery of solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing business, technical, and impact analysis, creating project documentation to identify and recommend successful Cyber Security solutions.
  • Building effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Developing user stories, use cases, scenarios, and defining acceptance criteria.
  • Supporting the transition to operations with project artifacts and documentation.

Ideal candidate qualities:

  • Experience as a Business Analyst on Cyber Security projects.
  • Skilled in data analysis, trend spotting, decision support, and independent advising.
  • Experience in gap analyses, defining current vs. future states, and supporting change management.
  • Certifications in Cyber Security, BABOK, ITIL v3/v4, Agile are a plus.
