Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Process Control Group – UNSW Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia
Responsibilities- Carry out scientific research on an ARC Discovery Project titled "A Probabilistic Approach to Big Data-Based Industrial Process Control" (DP250101137).
- Undertake research on control theory and machine learning techniques related to the project.
- Collaborate with the Process Control Group in the School of Chemical Engineering; report to Professor Jie Bao; no direct reports.
- PhD in Engineering or Mathematics.
- Demonstrated skills and experience with process control and modern control theories, including nonlinear control and stochastic systems theory; ideally Behavioural Systems theory and applications.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a diverse range of stakeholders and students.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Understanding of and commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
- Salary, Level A – $91,381 - $121,838 per annum + 17% superannuation
- Full Time
- Fixed-term contract – 24 months
- Location: Kensington – Sydney, Australia
