Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia

This role leads a bold new initiative to redefine how key government agencies move to the cloud. It is the initial assignment in an 18-month transformation program to guide major agencies through ERP migration with proven strategy, expert delivery, and scalable, lasting impact. This role sits in SAP's Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Federal Australian Agencies and will transition into the broader Customer Success and Delivery area after the initial program.

Base in Canberra. Given the role works with the Australian Public Sector, Australian Citizens with the capability to secure and maintain government security clearance are preferred.

About the Role

This is a senior resource with strong solution knowledge and deep implementation experience. The Services Solutioning Architect is responsible for translating customer expectations into a sellable and deliverable proposal based on the CS&D Portfolio, in close coordination with Subject Matter Experts and all Sales teams (Services Sales, Industry Account Executives and Solution Sales Specialists).

Key Responsibilities

• Orchestrate the overall solution to meet customer requirements, including solution and implementation approach, effort and cost estimates, timelines, scope, risks, and assumptions. Coordinate input from subject matter experts as required and consider delivery options across scope, cost, quality, and risk.
• Contribute to the development of business cases for clients.
• Collaborate with clients to solution and generate Rough Order of Magnitude estimates.
• Consolidate requirements and inputs from multiple SMEs into a single solution response, including completion of solutioning details in a Deal Sheet and Scope Document.
• Engage stakeholders required for Deal Execution – including Delivery, Risk, Bid Management, License and Commercial Finance.
• Act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the design of the solution bid response or proactive proposal.
• Provide input to the services sales strategy for each opportunity as part of the bid team.
• Coordinate with Delivery, Practice Leads, other Solutioning Team members, Lines of Service and Industry experts to ensure delivery feasibility.
• Engage with Adoption Solution Centre (ASC) as necessary to support bid responses.
• Extend knowledge to other solution areas, especially SAP cloud offerings, to support initial service solutioning for opportunities.
• Ensure effective positioning and usage of relevant Service Portfolio items in the solution.
• Understand the RISE with SAP methodology for Cloud deployments.
• Contribute service solution content to proposal responses, including reviewing, writing, or editing, aligned with win themes.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling of services.
• Communicate and hand over the solution design to the project delivery team, supporting initial project execution.
• Participate in and support regional Solutioning community activities (knowledge sharing and contributions).

Experience and Qualifications

• At least 5 years of implementation experience with participation in multiple full-cycle implementations. Thorough understanding of SAP project methodologies for Cloud is necessary.
• Experience in building Value Based business cases.
• Significant experience in project estimation methodologies.
• Significant exposure to the services sales process and involvement in successful services sales campaigns.
• Ideally deep experience in more than one functional solution area, with broader knowledge of other solution suites.
• Knowledge of SAP's Premium Engagement Services and Cloudify Services portfolio is a plus.
