Overview

Join the Department of Education, South East Region, in a pivotal role where your expertise will make a meaningful difference to the lives of Queensland students. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Services Officer to provide high-quality operational support to the Student Protection Team and the Education Support Funding Program (ESFP) for students in care. In this diverse and rewarding position, you will deliver a broad range of corporate services across finance systems, payment processes, and administration; act as the vital link between the team and schools through professional correspondence management; and apply your advanced Excel skills to manage, analyse, and present data with precision. Working closely with managers and colleagues, you will ensure smooth daily operations and enhance and modernise administrative systems.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality operational support to the Student Protection Team and the Education Support Funding Program (ESFP) for students in care.
  • Deliver a broad range of corporate services across finance systems, payment processes, and administration.
  • Act as the vital link between the team and schools through professional correspondence management.
  • Apply advanced Excel skills to manage, analyse, and present data with precision.
  • Work closely with managers and colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations, enhance administrative systems, and support the delivery of key regional and departmental priorities in line with policies and legislation.
Qualifications
  • Motivated and detail-oriented professional with experience delivering corporate services.
  • Advanced Excel skills to manage, analyse, and present data.
  • Ability to liaise between the team and schools and manage professional correspondence.
  • Ability to work with managers and colleagues to support operational priorities in line with policies and legislation.
