Role Overview

This site-based, hands-on role involves contributing to the successful delivery of newly awarded projects. Reporting to the HSE Manager or HSE Superintendent, you will oversee activities to ensure they meet our clients' health, safety, environment, and quality standards, while also delivering on time and within budget.

Work is on a 2/1 FIFO roster.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Understand and communicate Primero's HSE procedures and legislative requirements on site, aligned with project-specific HSE Management Plans.
  2. Conduct daily HSE inspections and observations on site.
  3. Participate actively in weekly toolbox talks and daily prestart meetings on HSE topics.
  4. Assist with fitness for work assessments and daily welfare checks.
  5. Coach and guide HSRs on legislative HSE requirements.
  6. Support employees in creating risk assessments (JHA's, Permits).
  7. Maintain HSE notice boards.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Certificate IV in Work, Health and Safety (minimum requirement).
  • At least 3 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Site experience in a similar role.
  • Current Provide First Aid / CPR certificate.
  • Incident Investigation training (ICAM/Tap Root).
  • OHS Construction Induction White/Blue Card.
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug, and alcohol screening.
