We are one of the largest providers to the NDIS, supporting over 10,000 participants every year with the care they need, when and where it is needed. We have a multi-disciplinary team approach, building a quality support service around the needs and goals of our participants and their families.
Job DescriptionWe are expanding our team in Katoomba and the Lower Blue Mountains region and would love to welcome a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join us in making a positive impact in our community.
We are open to applications from Occupational Therapists of all levels of experience seeking full-time or part-time roles.
In this role you will:
- Assess participants' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and physical levels of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardized assessments.
- Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals tailored to each participant.
- Provide therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based.
- Support and advise on environmental adaptations, including home, school, work, and residential facilities.
- Recommend the provision of Assistive Technology to assist participants with their functional limitations and promote independence.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- A proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas.
- A desire to work in a fun, collaborative, and supportive environment.
- Ability to work independently.
- A genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
