Eligibility

As a Petroleum Engineering graduate you will be eligible for both Subsurface Engineering and Drilling & Completions Engineering Streams.

Subsurface Engineering

  • Characterise the recovery of hydrocarbons from the reservoir, and how this can be optimised.
  • Involved in most stages of the asset lifecycle: exploration, appraisal, development and production.
  • Day-to-day tasks include analysing reservoir and production data, creating and updating analytical and reservoir simulation computer models, and forecasting future production and reserves.

Drilling & Completions Engineering

  • Responsible for working with area asset team and preparing well designs, cost estimates and detailed operational guidelines for new and existing wellbores to meet project objectives.
  • Support incident response, project management, project management, field supervision and cost/invoice review
