The Tropicana Surface Mining team is seeking an experienced Commercial Analyst to support the business with budgets, forecasts, claims, and reporting on financial matters, in line with the contract.

About the role

• 8/6 roster FIFO from Perth or Kalgoorlie.
• Ensure commercial actions within the business risk model are in place and effective.
• Assist the Senior Engineer – Mining & Analysis with the accurate compilation of monthly reports and review packs.
• Assist in reviewing all monthly claims, for all contracts, on time, to ensure compliance and best practice.
• Assist in the tracking, preparation, and application of Rise and Fall in the monthly claims.
• Assist with the compilation of budgets and quarterly forecasts for Surface Mining.
• Assist in ensuring all contract documentation is reviewed prior to acceptance and execution.

About you

• Minimum 2 years' mining industry experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance or related field
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability
• Excellent organisational skills
• Good knowledge of financial and accounting processes
• Sound risk management knowledge
• Familiar with QA/QC processes and requirements
• Good knowledge of relevant legislation
• Ability to understand and interpret contractual documentation
• Excellent command of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
• Must hold a current C class driver's licence at all times
