About the role

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Alliance Clinics, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, person-centred behaviour support services to our diverse client base. Working in a full-time capacity, you will be responsible for developing and implementing tailored behaviour support plans that promote positive outcomes and enhance quality of life.

What you\'ll be doing
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the functional behaviours and support needs of clients
  • Developing and implementing evidence-based behaviour support plans in collaboration with clients, their families, and the broader care team
  • Providing specialist behaviour support interventions and strategies to address complex behaviours and promote positive outcomes
  • Delivering training and support to clients, families, and support workers to ensure the effective implementation of behaviour support plans
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of behaviour support plans, making adjustments as needed
  • Maintaining detailed clinical records and contributing to the continuous improvement of behaviour support services
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborating with other healthcare professionals
What we\'re looking for
  • A tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, or a related allied health discipline
  • Demonstrated or emerging experience in the provision of behaviour support services, preferably within the disability or mental health sectors
  • A thorough understanding of positive behaviour support principles and the ability to apply them in practice
  • Strong clinical assessment and case formulation skills, with the ability to develop and implement tailored behaviour support plans
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with clients, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in behaviour support
