Purpose of the Role:

As the new Business Performance Analyst, you will be providing operational information, analysis and insight, to ensure emerging trends are identified and appropriate action taken. Reporting to the Business Performance Lead a key part of this role will be understanding the performance of the Commercial Assessing & Supply business, drivers for the results and future impacts to the business.

Brief Description

Purpose of the Role:

As the new Business Performance Analyst, you will be providing operational information, analysis and insight, to ensure emerging trends are identified and appropriate action taken. Reporting to the Business Performance Lead a key part of this role will be understanding the performance of the Commercial Assessing & Supply business, drivers for the results and future impacts to the business.

Position Accountabilities

• Deliver operational reporting to support the Motor Commercial Assessing & Supply leadership team, identifying and providing insight on cost, productivity, trends and leakage
• Proactively provide analysis to better support and inform business understanding and decisions and providing recommendations of corrective actions to address business challenges
• Support the Leadership team to define and track initiative benefits and determining & setting relevant KPI's and targets
• Assist in the development of a Reporting Framework
• Develop reporting and analysis solutions leveraging available tools such as MS Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI
• Develop and maintain modelling from varying sources of complex information from multiple systems/information sources
• Identify, investigate and resolve data integrity issues, applying quality assurance processes when sourcing data and reporting to stakeholders
• Resolve multiple conflicting user requirements into a common acceptable solution.
• Promote an environment of continuous improvement and innovative thinking. Encourage initiative, creativity and lateral thinking in all team members
  
  

Knowledge And Experience

• Experience in business performance analysis and well demonstrated commercial acumen
• Working knowledge of Insurance business and processes
• Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills, Google Sheets, and/or Power BI skills. Knowledge of SQL is desirable.
• Ability to translate large volumes of data into meaningful information and insights
• Demonstrated collaborative and consultative approach to work, with the ability to work both independently as well as within a small team
• A collaborative and consultative approach to work along with accuracy, high attention to detail and the ability to multitask
• A Business/Commerce qualification with a specialisation in Information Management, Business, Finance, Statistics or Mathematical qualification desirable
