Overview

Postdoctoral Researcher in Isotope Geochemistry (3-year fixed term, Level B). The position provides Level B salary ($114,917 to $135,932 per annum) plus 17% employer superannuation. The University of Adelaide invites applications for a 3-year postdoctoral position to study isotopic signatures of critical mineral ore systems, focusing on Australian field sites.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research into isotopic signatures of critical mineral ore systems, with focus on Australian field sites.
  • Be a key member of the Australian Critical Minerals Research Centre and the ARC Training Centre in Critical Resources for the Future.
  • Supervise honours and postgraduate research students (where applicable).
  • Access advanced material characterization and geochemical/isotope facilities (e.g., Adelaide Microscopy, MASS) and collaborate with CSIRO, Geoscience Australia, and ARC Training Centre.
Qualifications
  • A PhD in geology, geochemistry or related field.
  • Established track record of publications in isotope geochemistry and/or critical mineral ore systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in laboratory procedures for geochemical and isotopic analysis of geological materials.
  • Strong research track record in one or more of: critical minerals ore systems, economic geology, hydrothermal geochemistry, regolith geoscience.
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborations with university, government and minerals industry.
