The Opportunity

This role is for a Senior/Principal Data Scientist (approx. 7-10 years' experience in a senior role) who uses data to help businesses make smart decisions by building models, applications and actionable insights. You'll lead projects, guide teams, and stay updated on new data science trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build data solutions to tackle business challenges.
• Create and use AI solutions like; AI and machine learning models for predictions and analysis and Generative AI, LLMS.
• Work with different teams to find data-driven opportunities.
• Mentor junior data scientists and ensure data quality.
• Share findings clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Keep up with trends like ethical AI and apply them to improve business outcomes.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of data science experience, with proven results.
• Skilled in technologies like; Python, R, and SQL for data analysis.
• Expert Knowledge of AI and machine learning and statistical methods.
• Experience with tools like Tableau for data visualisation.
• Familiarity with big data (e.g. Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (e.g. statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics) or equivalent experience.
• Certifications in data science or related fields, such as those from Coursera, edX, or the Data Science Council of America (DASCA), can demonstrate specialised expertise.
