Job Summary:
  • Availability: Monday to Friday, mornings and afternoons
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience required
  • Expected salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year
Practice Information:

This mixed billing practice opened in September 2020, with eight consulting rooms and a large treatment room with five beds. Patient numbers are growing rapidly, and we are looking for two GPs to join on a full-time or part-time basis.

The practice is centrally located near Townsville's largest shopping centre, public transport, pharmacies, radiology services, and within 3 km of The Townsville University Hospital. On-site services include pathology, physiotherapy, dietitian, podiatry, and mental health support, along with telehealth psychiatry support. The practice nurse is a medwife with over ten years of experience in General Practice.

Community and Location:

Townsville, North Queensland, is a growing community with a population approaching 240,000. It features local Defence Force services, James Cook University, and excellent hospital services. The University Hospital offers a wide range of specialties, ensuring most patient needs can be met locally. Townsville's tropical climate provides a variety of recreational activities, including visits to national parks, oceans, rivers, rainforests, reefs, and nearby islands. The weather is consistently pleasant.

We are seeking experienced General Practitioners for full-time and part-time roles. Our practice is open 7 days a week, offering flexible hours including business and after-hours to suit your or your family's needs.
