About The Role

Full-Time | 12-Month Contract | Wollongong

At Anglicare, we understand that life can throw unexpected challenges—illness, job loss, rising costs. That's why we're here. As a Client Support Worker, you'll be the first point of contact for people seeking Food and Financial Assistance, offering both practical help and hope for a brighter future.

You'll provide intake and support both remotely and face-to-face, ensuring every client feels heard, respected, and empowered.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Welcoming clients with warmth and professionalism—whether by phone or in person
  • Providing initial support and assessing needs for further assistance
  • Distributing food parcels and connecting clients with additional services
  • Keeping accurate and confidential client records
  • Supporting team meetings and events with admin coordination
  • Championing Anglicare's values in everything you do

About You
  • Experience or qualifications in social work, customer service, or similar
  • Confident handling sensitive conversations with empathy and calm
  • Skilled at managing multiple priorities under pressure
  • Strong communication skills, especially with clients in crisis
  • Organised, proactive, and ready to make a difference
  • Hold a valid Working with Children Check for paid employment
