Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Architect with a strong focus on AWS to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, deploying, and managing environments within the AWS cloud. You will guide our customers through the complexities of AWS Cloud adoption, providing solutions that are innovative, secure, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of Projects / Consulting services within AWS environments.
  • Drive migration strategies from on-premises or other cloud services to AWS.
  • Implement and manage container orchestration using Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
  • Deliver best practices for AWS deployments, including infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform.
  • Navigate high ambiguity environments, demonstrating problem-solving leadership specific to solving customer challenges with Cloud services.
  • Provide consulting and advisory services to key stakeholders, emphasising the technical and business benefits of cloud strategies.
  • Develop Cloud-focused roadmaps for clients, highlighting a clear transition from their current infrastructure to a cloud environment.
  • Ensure all solutions are compliant with industry best practices and compliance frameworks for security and performance within AWS ecosystems.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in IT and cloud architecture.
  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience in designing, executing, and supporting AWS cloud solutions.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code, with Terraform experience being highly advantageous.
  • A strong background in consulting or advisory roles, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional analytical and technical skills, with the ability to work in dynamic and complex environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the capability to convey complex ideas effectively.

Desired Skills:

  • Additional certifications related to architecture and cloud computing desirable (e.g., CKAD, Prince2, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate across teams and work with clients to solve complex problems.
  • Desire for learning and ongoing professional development.
