Role location: Yarwun, Gladstone, Central Queensland. This is a field-based maintenance opportunity within our high performing Maintenance teams across Yarwun Refinery Gladstone Operations.

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining mechanical assets across the refinery, focused on unplanned breakdown or plant-limiting work, troubleshooting and solving equipment failures and improving reliability
  • Identifying defects and providing feedback on asset performance and health
  • Confinement space and working at heights activities
  • Working autonomously, being reliable and positively contributing to the maintenance team, maintaining assets in a safe and reliable condition
  • Identifying and implementing improvement initiatives across multiple disciplines within the organisation
  • Promoting and identifying HSE opportunities to improve equipment, processes, and behaviours
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs
What You'll Bring
  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Respect for others and an all-inclusive mindset
  • Current valid C Class drivers licence
  • A Mechanical or Fitter & Turner trade qualification
  • Proven fault-finding, troubleshooting and repairs on fixed plant equipment
  • Proven maintenance experience in heavy/industrial environments

Where you'll be working

Yarwun alumina refinery, located in Central Queensland, approximately 10km north-west of Gladstone. Yarwun produces over three million tonnes of smelter-grade alumina annually and employs a large workforce including contractors.
