About The Opportunity
We're excited to offer a Full-Time Junior Management Accountant position in our growing team in Canning Vale, WA. In this role, you'll manage financial records, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide accurate financial reports to drive our success. We're looking for someone with strong integrity, analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll work closely with a talented team, contributing to the finance department's smooth operation and supporting the company's goals.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including accruals, prepayments, and manual journals.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete.
- Assist internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation and explanations to facilitate smooth audits.
- Help ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax obligations.
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including cost, profitability, and risk assessments.
- Identify areas for process improvement and help drive the implementation of initiatives.
- Work closely with the finance team and other departments, providing mentorship and ensuring smooth collaboration across business functions.
- Assist with financial maintenance across other business entities as required and provide data analysis to support management requests and regulatory information.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Prior experience working in a similar role would be highly advantageous however, not necessary.
- Ability to maintain accurate financial records and ensure error-free reporting.
- Able to meet deadlines for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring timely processing of accounts.
- Proficient in preparing financial statements and performing cost, profitability, and risk assessments to support business decisions.
- Ability to comply with financial regulations and standards, including tax obligations and BAS lodgement standards.
- Effectively use accounting software (e.g., Xero) and Excel for financial reporting and analysis.
- Strong clear communication skills to present financial data to non-financial managers and collaborate across teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to successfully communicate and liaise with people at all levels, both internal and external to Allied Pumps.
- A strong eagerness to learn and a self-motivated drive to grow in this role.
