The Position
Reporting directly to the Worldsmart CEO, this role is responsible for the performance, coordination and improvement of business operations and procurement functions across Australia. You will lead the supply chain team, manage key supplier relationships, and work closely with State Business Development Managers to ensure best practice standards and procedures are implemented and maintained.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Overseeing end-to-end supply chain processes including forecasting, procurement, warehousing, delivery, installation and post-installation activities.
· Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure cost-effective, timely and accurate delivery of IT hardware and services.
· Ensuring effective inventory management across all warehouses, including the national online warehouse and state-based sites.
· Maintaining the integrity of product data in the SAP B1 ERP system, including ownership of system workflows, product costs, supplier info and inventory levels.
· Supporting sales and finance teams through accurate scheduling, forecasting, and on-time invoicing.
· Leading business improvement initiatives by reviewing and enhancing operational processes, systems and documentation.
· Collaborating with HR and business unit managers to identify training needs and support change management efforts.
· Managing risk, business continuity planning, and WHS compliance.
About You
We're looking for a strategic thinker and doer with strong attention to detail and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities across teams. You are solutions-focused, collaborative, and skilled at identifying opportunities for operational improvement and cost savings.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
· Minimum 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience in operations or supply chain management, ideally within a technology or Point of Sale business.
· A strong grasp of inventory forecasting and planning techniques
· Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills.
· Proven experience working with ERP systems, ideally SAP B1.
· Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
· Track record of process improvement and cross-functional project delivery.
· Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Business Management.
· Experience in IT hardware/software environments or retail technology.
· Experience with Oracle's NetSuite ERP
