At Black Finch, we create contemporary fine jewellery with meaning. Pieces that tell stories, mark milestones, and are crafted to last. We're seeking a warm, highly organised, and thoughtful individual to join our small, passionate team as the first point of contact for our clients, both in person and online.

This is a dynamic role that blends customer service, fine jewellery sales, showroom care, and operational support. You'll play a key part in delivering the considered, memorable experience our clients have come to know and love.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming clients to our Melbourne showroom with warmth and professionalism
  • Managing the studio inbox — responding to client enquiries with clarity and care
  • Answering incoming calls and guiding enquiries to the relevant team members
  • Coordinating appointments via our online booking and calendar systems
  • Preparing the showroom each day — ensuring stock is displayed, glass is polished, and the space is calm, clean, and beautifully presented
  • Assisting with fine jewellery sales and consults as required
  • Taking payments via phone and point of sale systems
  • Managing shipping logistics, including incoming and outgoing parcels
  • Packaging jewellery for collection and courier
  • Supporting clients with jewellery insurance documentation and valuations
  • Receiving deliveries, handling cash and post office runs
  • Monitoring and restocking packaging, stationery, and studio supplies
  • Maintaining accurate customer records within our internal system
  • Ad hoc studio and team support tasks as needed

About You

  • You bring a calm, confident presence and genuinely love helping people
  • You're well-spoken, emotionally aware, and can write beautifully and professionally
  • You're highly organised, detail-oriented, and reliable — someone who notices the little things and takes initiative
  • You take pride in beautiful presentation and naturally keep your space clear and orderly
  • You're comfortable with Apple devices and cloud-based software
  • You have experience in customer-facing roles, ideally in retail or boutique environments
  • You're curious about fine jewellery and enjoy working in creative settings
  • You're available 3 to 5 days per week, must be available Saturday
  • You're someone who sees customer service and sales as a craft

Training in our systems, products, and voice will be provided.
