Key Responsibilities
  • Provide customers with technical support through analytical skills, facilitate new installations, implementations, maintenance, education, and author documentation in support of the customers' environment.
  • Interface with clients at engineer and management levels; work in a close-knit team; multi-task and adapt as needed.
  • Occasional travel to customer sites in the ANZ region as required.
  • Manage customer expectations and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain troubleshooting skills on all Check Point products and related technologies.
Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of relevant enterprise level networking and Internet security technology experience.
  • Experience with Check Point products is required.
  • Strong understanding of networking and OS functions of RHEL or other Linux-based servers.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting VPN technologies.
  • Strong understanding of the OSI model (Layers 1-4).
  • Experience with traffic analyzing tools like Wireshark.
  • Understanding of how common TCP/UDP connections are established based on their protocol.
  • Working knowledge of ARP, VoIP (H.323, SIP), and routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
  • Basic programming skills, with the ability to read and develop simple UNIX shell scripts using Bash.
  • Experience providing support to direct customers, resellers, O&M, and field personnel in resolving product-related issues.
