CHINCHILLA - Kickstart your career as an Apprentice Carpenter or Painter and join our Chinchilla team either as a school based or full-time apprentice. There is a range of projects from housing and hospitals and ambulance stations on a variety of work.

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to work and learn with QBuild, the designated builder for the Queensland Government. We provide a wide range of services, from constructing new buildings to upgrading and renovating existing ones. We also assist in rapid responses to disasters and hazards to safeguard Queenslanders. • Understand and carry out manual work, technical information and the use of equipment.
• Understand the importance of adhering to safety protocols including following proper procedures, using protective equipment, and maintaining a safe work environment.

What We Look For

• Be 15 years of age at commencement. Candidates 18 or turning 18 are preferred due to occasional overnight travel for our distant work program, unless you are a school-based apprentice not required to travel until full-time.
• Be eligible to work in Australia (permanent residency).
• Have completed Year 10 with a pass in Maths and English.
• Be able to transport yourself and your tools to work/training sites (a driver's license is not mandatory).
• Be willing to obtain a Construction Industry White Card before starting.
