Overview

Join the Community Mental Health Rehabilitation Service in a fixed-term, part-time role delivering trauma-informed and recovery-oriented mental health care to adults living within the St Vincent's catchment. Be a key player in a collaborative multidisciplinary team, integrating mental health and physical health care to support patient resilience and recovery. Use your expertise to provide tailored, evidence-based psychological assessments and therapies that make a real difference in patients' adjustment to illness. Responsibilities
  • Deliver trauma-informed and recovery-oriented mental health care to adults in the St Vincent's catchment as a fixed-term, part-time role.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to integrate mental health and physical health care to support patient resilience and recovery.
  • Provide tailored, evidence-based psychological assessments and therapies.
  • Contribute to service improvement with a focus on compassionate, holistic care aligned with St Vincent's mission and values.


About You
  • Fully registered Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA endorsement, with a postgraduate Masters or Doctorate and a commitment to improving patient wellbeing.
  • Experience in fast-paced hospital environments, managing complex mental health needs including homelessness, substance use, and forensic issues.
  • Skilled in applying evidence-based psychological treatments with a person-centred, recovery-focused approach that empowers patients and families.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in multidisciplinary settings and builds strong connections with care partners to deliver seamless care.
  • Highly organised and proactive with excellent communication and supervision skills; able to mentor and support junior clinicians with professionalism.

About The Hospital

Based at St Vincent's Hospital, Darlinghurst, a busy inner-city hospital in a desirable location. The area offers cafes, galleries, theatres, parks, nightlife, and nearby beaches. The hospital provides expert clinical care for at-risk people and is closely partnered with universities and affiliated research institutes. Specialties include heart and lung transplantation, bone marrow transplantation, cardiology, cancer care, AIDS/HIV, respiratory medicine, mental health, homeless health, drug and alcohol services, and correctional health.
