About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Governance and Policy Officer to oversee and maintain our Corporate Governance and Policy Frameworks, ensuring alignment with our strategic and operational objectives.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Governance Framework Management: Manage DoT's Governance Framework and ensure alignment with organisational objectives and regulatory requirements.
  2. Policymaking: Monitor and contribute to governance, access, and inclusion policies and initiatives.
  3. Research and Analysis: Conduct research, policy analysis, and development to support compliance and strategic objectives.
  4. Communication: Prepare reports, briefing notes, and other written materials.
  5. Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, participating in project teams, committees, and working groups.
  6. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for ongoing improvement of processes, practices, and systems.
About You
  • We are looking for someone with experience in governance and/or policy roles within large and complex organisations.
  • You will have high-level written communication skills, including effective report writing and the ability to present complex messages clearly.
  • A strong background in policy, conceptual, analytical, and research skills is essential.
  • You will possess exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate and negotiate with various stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently and manage a diverse workload.
