Overview

Senior Reporting & Insights Analyst role at the NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ).


Location – Haymarket | Employment type – Temporary (up to 12 months) | Salary – $129,464 - $142,666 pa plus superannuation and leave loading.


Responsibilities
  • Deliver data transformation, analysis, and visualisation using tools like Tableau to support performance measurement and service improvement
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports across CSNSW, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and transparent
  • Validate data quality, document methodologies, and support the maintenance of the CRES Tableau Server for optimal performance
  • Provide expert advice on data definitions, analytics, and reporting to strengthen business cases and knowledge management
  • Prepare clear written communications, briefs, and technical documents, and build strong stakeholder relationships to support informed decision-making

Essential Requirements

Tertiary qualifications in Statistics, Mathematics, Social Science, Actuary, Data Analytics, Computer Science or equivalent experience.

  • Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
