We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Information Security Consultant to support Infoxchange's mission of Technology for Social Justice. This part-time (3-day per week) permanent role is based in Melbourne, Victoria.

About the role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Information Security Consultant, preferably with not-for-profit sector experience, to lead our information security program for customers and partners.

You will:

  • Design, configure, and implement security standards for our Managed Services, including Microsoft 365 and Azure.
  • Conduct security assessments and support external audits.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Collaborate across teams to embed security measures organization-wide.
  • Stay current with security trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Demonstrate a passion for learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
About you

To succeed, you will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in information security, familiar with frameworks like ASD's Essential 8, ISO 27001/2, NIST, and RFFR.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and negotiation skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
