Sports & Spinal Group is one of Queensland's leading allied health providers, and we're looking for a detail-focused and proactive Payroll Officer to join our Group Services team. This is a fixed-term contract until May 2026 to cover maternity leave, with potential for ongoing opportunities.

What you'll do

  • Manage end-to-end fortnightly payroll processing for 350+ employees
  • Process superannuation, bonuses, commissions, parental leave, and Workcover payments
  • Ensure compliance with Awards, FairWork, STP, and EOFY requirements
  • Maintain HRIS/payroll records and provide payroll advice to leaders
  • Assist with audits, reconciliations, and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance
Additional Information

We are looking for candidates with experience in a similar payroll role, preferably within the health industry. Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, Awards, and compliance requirements is essential. Experience with HRIS/payroll systems like Employment Hero and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required. The ideal candidate will have high attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work confidentially. A positive, collaborative approach is also important.
