About the Role

Are you a natural storyteller with a passion for crafting content that connects? Do you excel in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? Living Gems, one of Australia's most respected names in over 50's lifestyle resort living, is looking for a talented Content and Communications Specialist to bring our brand to life across every channel.

Skills and Experience.

As our new Content and Communications Specialist, you'll lead the development of engaging, on-brand content that builds awareness, fosters engagement, and supports lead generation. From blog posts and media articles to social content, newsletters, email campaigns and brochures — if it involves words, it's your moment to shine.

If you're a wordsmith who can switch seamlessly between strategic storytelling and conversion-driven copy, we want to hear from you.

  • A strong, versatile writer with a passion for storytelling.
  • Experience in B2B or B2C content marketing (bonus points for property sector experience).
  • Confidence managing content workflows end-to-end.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Solid grasp of SEO, content performance metrics, and optimisation tactics.
  • Strong attention to detail, grammar, and consistency.
  • Bonus: Experience with events, internal comms, or campaign support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage content development from concept through to publication.
  • Write compelling copy for multiple platforms: blogs, press releases, social posts, emails, web, brochures, and more.
  • Ensure content aligns with brand voice, messaging frameworks, and campaign objectives.
  • Contribute to and execute the content strategy and editorial calendar.
  • Optimise content using SEO best practices to maximise visibility and impact.
  • Translate complex ideas into clear, engaging language that resonates with diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with internal teams — including digital, design, and product marketing — to support integrated campaigns.
  • Support internal communications and the occasional event, launch or brand initiative as required.
