Position Description:

Goldman Sachs Asset Management seeks a Vice President to join our Portfolio Management team in Sydney, focusing on private investments. This role offers an excellent opportunity for exposure to a diverse portfolio across the full capital spectrum. You will work closely with divisional leadership to drive business initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, passionate about financial markets, and eager to challenge themselves from Day 1.

• Facilitate deal execution, closing, portfolio management, and harvesting activities
• Coordinate structuring of new investments and manage Federation (Control teams) review of business opportunities
• Collaborate with fund management for capital calls, cash distributions, investor and regulatory reporting
• Represent Goldman Sachs Asset Management, liaising with internal groups and external advisors to resolve legal, compliance, tax, accounting, and operational issues
• Manage ad hoc requests from senior management, including data management, reporting, and presentations
• Support senior members in asset management activities and reviews
• Facilitate regulatory and internal information requests
• Address various business challenges as they arise

Basic Qualifications:

• Over 6 years of experience in private equity or principal investments within the financial services industry
• Strong financial analysis and accounting knowledge across multiple asset classes
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams
• Self-starter with a drive to succeed in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
• Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail
