About youYou will have strong earthmoving and infrastructure equipment knowledge with the civil or mining environment from either a marketing or technical background. Your tenacity, innovation, and lateral thinking will ensure you deliver real and sustainable business value in this opportunity.
You will demonstrate a full understanding of both earthmoving and infrastructure industries and related projects in Australia.
In this role, you will strategically source opportunities, develop and maintain relationships, and ensure, as a business specialist, you deliver your commitment to offering quality equipment and solutions accompanied by the full support backed by our team.
About the roleReporting to the company's Regional Manager (Regional Director), with a dotted line to the General Manager. The role's key accountabilities will be:
- Identifying and converting appropriate business opportunities for the company;
- Monitoring the mining and construction equipment market, identifying and converting appropriate business opportunities for the company;
- Actively pursuing direct sales leads;
- Proactively maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing partnerships and developing new relationships with prospective clientele;
- Presenting quotations and proposals to new and existing clients;
- Inputting into the key strategies to win tenders and expressions of interest in conjunction with key managers;
- Working closely with the service team to ensure customers' expectations are met;
- Seeking and executing sales targets in line with business objectives;
- Using marketing tools to secure new business and interest;
- Working with the team in ensuring marketing & business strategy is geared towards growth.
- Proven track record and experience in sales or business development from related industries.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional customer engagement and relationship development skills.
- Self-motivation and excellent time management skills.
- Strong technical/project management skills.
- Ability to travel.
- Understanding of various earthmoving, mining, and infrastructure equipment.
