About The Position

Are you an experienced operator with leadership skills and a passion for civil construction? The City of Gosnells Engineering Construction Team is offering an exciting opportunity to step into a key role within our dynamic Engineering Works crew. We\'re seeking a suitably qualified team leader to help guide our stormwater drainage crew, operating major construction plant including backhoes and excavators. You\'ll play a vital part in delivering the City\'s annual stormwater drainage program, contributing to essential infrastructure that supports our growing community.

What We Are Looking For

Applicants should be able to demonstrate:

  • sound knowledge of civil infrastructure construction practices particularly in relation to drainage works.
  • Sound knowledge of civil infrastructure construction practices operating construction plant, primarily a backhoe or excavator.
  • Sound knowledge of engineering construction techniques and standards.
  • The ability to work in a team environment and lead the drainage construction team.
  • The ability to operate safely adjacent to public utilities.
Essential Requirements
  • Current MR class driver\'s licence
  • White Card
  • Operator\'s certificate
  • Current National Police Clearance (less than three months old) - Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but may be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.

Salary and Benefits
  • Full time (76 hours per fortnight)
  • Nine-day fortnight
