About The RoleThe Azure Data Engineer plays a key role in developing and maintaining reliable, scalable data solutions that support accurate reporting, informed decision-making, and business process improvement. The role ensures the effective use of data platforms and cloud technologies to meet organisational goals and enhance data-driven capabilities. This full-time, permanent position can be based at either our Abbotsford - Vic, Bella Vista or Tweed Heads - NSW sites.

You are a technically skilled, proactive professional who is passionate about using data to make a difference in people's lives.
Essential requirements- Minimum 3 years' experience in a data engineering or advanced SQL development role
- Strong SQL Development and Optimisation Skills: Proven ability to write, troubleshoot, and optimise complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Hands-on Experience with Azure Data Tools: Practical experience using Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and Azure Synapse for data integration and pipeline development.
- ETL/Data Pipeline Development Expertise: Demonstrated ability to build, maintain, and optimise scalable ETL/ELT processes across diverse data sources.
Highly regarded skills include:
- Experience with Power BI: Familiarity with building datasets and supporting report development using Power BI.
- Knowledge of Payment/Reconciliation File Structures (e.g., DEX): Experience working with financial data, particularly generating or processing DEX or similar files.
- Understanding of the Aged Care or Community Services Sector: Awareness of sector-specific data needs, compliance requirements, or service models.
- Candidates will be required to hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information technology, Data Engineering or a related field.
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification or equivalent experience are advantageous.
