About the role

selectability is looking for a passionate and motivated Youth Worker to join our growing team Our youth residential program provides accommodation and intensive support to children and young people with various needs.

As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our children and young people to live their best lives. You will bring genuine passion and commitment to make a difference. Children and young people may have high to complex needs, and selectability aims to promote consistent and stable teams to support their recovery.

About You

To be successful, you must:

  • possess clear and effective communication skills
  • demonstrate computer literacy and accuracy in record management
  • be able to follow policies and procedures
  • work effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals
  • be flexible to work across a 24/7 roster
Role Requirements
  • minimum Cert IV qualification recognized under child safety standards (or willingness to study)
  • certification in Hope and Healing for residential care (ability to obtain)
  • a current P1 "C" class Queensland driver's license
  • a registered, roadworthy, and fully insured vehicle
  • First Aid and CPR certificates (ability to obtain)
  • Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'
