Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in your community?Lifeline Darling Downs & South West Queensland Ltd is seeking expressions of interest from individuals who are committed to supporting mental health and community wellbeing to join our voluntary and collegial Board of Directors.

As a Board Member, you will contribute to the strategic direction, governance and sustainability of a respected not-for-profit organisation that has been serving the Darling Downs and South West Queensland region for 50 years. Our Board plays a vital role in ensuring Lifeline Darling Downs & South West Queensland continues to deliver high-quality services that support individuals and families in times of crisis.

We are looking to achieve a rich Board comprising diverse skillset with experience in areas such as:

  • Building, engineering or architecture
  • Community services including clinical and non-clinical
  • Fundraising and philanthropy
  • Human Resources

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend and actively participate in monthly Board meetings (11 per year) and two annual Board Development Days
  • Provide strategic oversight and contribute to policy and decision-making
  • Uphold the Vision and Values of Lifeline Darling Downs & South West Queensland Ltd
  • Act as an ambassador for the organisation within the community
  • Demonstrated commitment to community service and values-based leadership
  • Previous board or governance experience is desirable but not essential
  • Willingness to contribute time and expertise to support the organisation's mission
