We're partnering with a leading Australian telecommunications provider seeking an experienced Product Owner to join a fast-paced transformation program. This role is central to delivering initiatives across Risk, Compliance, and Managed Services, working closely with delivery squads, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring delivery of high-impact features aligned to business and regulatory objectives
  • Collaborate with Agile delivery teams, business analysts, tech leads, and compliance to develop and refine user stories
  • Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, with a strong focus on compliance and operational excellence
  • Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives in partnership with the Scrum Master
  • Provide timely communication of updates, risks, and decisions to senior stakeholders
  • Balance competing priorities and drive alignment across multiple business units, particularly Managed Services
Essential Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner in complex, Agile environments
  • Telecommunications industry experience is essential
  • Demonstrated expertise in Risk, Compliance, or Managed Services domains
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive engagement
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Agile frameworks such as Scrum or SAFe
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise effectively, and deliver with a value-first mindset
